Yesterday, Pepsi released their elaborate, SFX-filled trailer for the Super Bowl 56 Halftime show. The lineup, announced in December, includes Eminem, Mary J Blige, Kendrick Lamar, Snoop Dogg, and Dr. Dre.

After first obtaining sponsorship in 2013, Pepsi makes it clear with this trailer – they are looking to make this year’s show something never seen before. The almost four-minute-long short film titled “The Call” proves that Pepsi is working towards their biggest Halftime show yet.

Todd Kaplan, VP of Marketing at Pepsi, told AdWeek, “The significance of this Halftime show is not lost on us. This is a massive, earth-moving level of talent that we have here. We want to make sure we do right.”

The trailer was directed by F. Gary Gray who is well-known for his directing of movies like The Italian Job (2003), The Fate of the Furious, and Straight Outta Compton.

Super Bowl 56 is slated for Sunday, February 13 at 6:30 PM ET. Viewers can watch the game and performance live on NBC and Peacock.
